Happy Birthday Kaedyn!!!

yes it's true..Kaedyn turned 5 this last week! We can hardly believe it! Here are a few pics from a little party he had up in Eagle River with Jen's family! Here he is with Uncle Jason...you see the resemblance?? Kaedyn looks like him and at times acts just like him!

Here is his army tank cake that "mommy and gretch made"! Kaedyn told me that he wanted Gretch to make his cake cause mommy "doesn't know how to make 'real' cakes"!! Thanks for your help Gretch so he could have a real one!

April is here...yay!!!!

I know that most of the time my kids look like they could really use a bath....and we do baths just about every day..however, somehow they always seem to look the same! Dirty! Oh well, they're still cute!

Dinner Guests....

Tonight we had some special people over for dinner! It wasn't fancy...frozen pizza, apples and peanut butter, and juice boxes! Hannah and Sam joined us for the meal, as you can see by the cute picture! Kaedyn brought it over to the table and the kids had a conversation with them while they ate! It was too cute to not take a picture of! We miss you guys!!!!!

AHHHHHHH!!! Are Violet's fingers bleeding??? haha no, unfortunately Violet got into my nail polish today....oh boy!!

Here are the toes....not much better!!! This is probably her worst job yet! I better not waste any money by sending her to cosmetology school, huH??

Violet loves to dump out our "accessory" bin and put on all the headbands, lip gloss..whatever she can get her hands into!

She also makes Merce go along with whatever she is up to!! Here Vi is brushing her teeth!

Here's the smile I was searching for! you can see the mess that we have to clean up everytime they get ahold of the bin! I try to put it up high where they can't reach, but it never fails!

Winter Fun

ok, ok, I know what you're thinking...there is nothing 'winter' about these pictures! It's true! but this is the fun we have inside when it's too cold to go outside!! I often find Violet "painting" her and Mercedes's fingers and toe nails...and any other body part that gets in the way! Most moms would shudder at the thought of a 3 year old doing it herself...but I say why not let her learn now!...now if only I could get her to do her hair a little nicer....

You have to pardon their messy hair and mismatched clothes..and lack of clothes. Mommy was sick this day and as you can see....pretty much let them do everything they could themselves!

Believe it or not...this is Violet blowing on the polish to dry it faster! haha pretty hilarious!

Birthday Girl!!

Today is Violet's birthday so here are some pics from our day! Nothing too eventful but fun none the less! We are so blessed to have her in our lives; it's so much fun seeing her grow up! She really has become quite the young lady so far!

Here is a gift Violet got to open this morning when she woke up. Kaed wrote everyone's name on it..so cute!

I know, I know, not much of a birthday cake! But hey, it's better than nothing! We are celebrating with a cake on Saturday, so this was her special doughnut breakfast! She still thought it was great!

Kiddos

Mercedes is getting to be such a big girl, it's insane! She's 19 months this week and really growing! She is starting to say more words and has decided to do big girl things..like no more high chair, walking from the van to a building (no more stroller or mommy holding her), and even fighting to wear a diaper (she wants big girl underwear)! I'm not ready for this!!

This would be the kids interpretation of the little girl on the movie "Dispicable me". If you haven't seen the movie, you should...it's pretty funny!
